In a world of interconnected office buildings, apartments, and
food courts, if you had to stay inside, would you? Could you?
Set
in all its fluorescent glory, young office workers have staked a
month’s salary to see who can stay indoors the longest. Join us
at the screening of Waydowntown, directed by Canadian Director
Gary Burns, set in Calgary, to contemplate the workaholic loop
many of us find ourselves amidst. Join us for an incredible
watch of Waydowntown, a satirical, whimsical movie commenting on
the workaholic culture we are all too familiar with.
Post
screening, we will chat more about the film and explore the
question: If everything was right there, how much would you bet
that you could stay?
Join us for a screening of the
Best canadian Film Award at the 2000 Toronto International Film
Festival that will definitely have you thinking! Watch and share
the experience with us. There are no right answers. Everyone is
welcome, so feel free to bring friends, come solo, or come just
as you are. See you soon!
